Leonardo O. Espinoza Zepeda

Leonardo Espinoza studied Physics in Ensenada, Mexico, and is currently a PhD candidate in Aerospace Engineering at the University of California San Diego. His research focuses on astrodynamics and the study of stable orbits around Enceladus, one of Saturn’s icy moons. Beyond his academic work, Leonardo is deeply passionate about teaching and frequently participates in STEM outreach events to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

He believes that serving as a Lucy Mission Ambassador is a unique opportunity not only to learn more about Solar System exploration, but also to share knowledge, spark curiosity, and connect the public with the exciting discoveries made possible by missions like Lucy. His goal is to bridge the gap between cutting-edge space research and community engagement, making planetary science accessible and inspiring to all.
