About the Lucy Ambassador Program
As a Lucy Mission Asteroid Ambassador, you will join the Lucy Team in promoting the Lucy Mission and other NASA missions focused on small bodies within our solar system. Through a variety of educational outreach initiatives, you will engage the public in the mission’s exciting twelve-year journey to study Jupiter’s Trojan asteroids, sharing your enthusiasm for space exploration. Ambassadors will receive comprehensive training in science communication and public outreach, along with in-depth knowledge of the Lucy Mission’s objectives and discoveries. Additionally, all necessary resources and tools will be provided to support your outreach efforts. The Lucy Ambassador program requires a one-year commitment, but we encourage all Ambassadors to continue beyond, if possible.
public speaking
Develop your public speaking and organizational skills by conducting at least three presentations on the Lucy Mission throughout the year.

Learn the best practices in science communication and outreach from the Lucy Mission's outreach and public affairs specialists.
collaboration
Collaborate with the Lucy Team and with fellow Ambassadors to deliver engaging presentations with the most up-to-date information from the Lucy Mission.
Peer Evaluation
Grow your skills through feedback from your audience members and your peers. Learn various ways to gather feedback and incorporate it into future outreach events.

Important Information:
The Lucy Mission Asteroid Ambassadorship is a volunteer, 1-year commitment, with the opportunity to continue beyond.
Requirements for participation:
Participants must be over the age of 18. You must have access to a computer with internet, webcam, and microphone capabilities. Ambassadors are expected to give a minimum of three (3) presentations throughout the year and to represent the Lucy Mission in a professional manner at all times. Applicants must have completed at least one L'SPACE academy - either MCA or NPWEE.
