Achintya Augustin is a Mechanical Engineering major at the University of Florida with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering. His participation in the L’SPACE Mission Concept Academy as a Mission Assurance Specialist inspired him to pursue mentorship through the LEAP program, where he hopes to encourage motivated students to excel in the MCA.

Through MCA, he developed skills in Continuous Risk Management (CRM) and Risk-Informed Decision Making (RIDM), while also gaining a strong appreciation for the importance of communication and teamwork across all engineering disciplines. He is thrilled to continue contributing to L’SPACE through LEAP.

In his free time, Achintya enjoys playing the piano and guitar while creating his own music. He also has a strong passion for automotive engineering and spends much of his time working on personal vehicle projects. As an intern at Volvo, he looks forward to further developing his career in the automotive sector, where he has gained valuable hands-on experience in documentation and testing.
