Edward was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He is a graduate student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, focusing on power and energy systems. He completed the Mission Concept Academy in the fall of 2024 and the NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience Academy in the spring of 2025. He has interned at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, working on space biology research, and at SpaceX, working on high power engineering. During his free time, he has been completing private pilot training at the Institute of Aviation at Parkland College.
