Rana Eyit is a Mechanical Engineering student who transferred to UCLA after completing her lower-division coursework at a community college. Her academic journey has been shaped by hands-on engineering, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary projects across robotics, materials science, and particle physics.

 

Rana has participated in several NASA programs, including NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) and the L’SPACE Mission Concept Academy, which she completed in Summer 2024. These experiences allowed her to work on mission design, systems thinking, and collaborative problem-solving, and helped shape her interest in research-focused engineering work. She now looks forward to contributing as a LEAP Intern and Programmatics Mentor, where she hopes to support future participants while continuing to grow her skills in engineering and research.
